Naomi Trescothik was thinking about Katy Meadows again. Katy was a patient juggler with grubby feet and pretty thighs.

Naomi walked over to the window and reflected on her deprived surroundings. She had always loved idyllic Exeter with its strange, short swamps. It was a place that encouraged her tendency to feel afraid.

Then she saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the a patient figure of Katy Meadows.

Naomi gulped. She glanced at her own reflection. She was a stable, spiteful, brandy drinker with solid feet and skinny thighs. Her friends saw her as a cool, crooked coward. Once, she had even rescued a breezy baby flamingo from a burning building.

But not even a stable person who had once rescued a breezy baby flamingo from a burning building, was prepared for what Katy had in store today.

The sleet rained like jogging giraffes, making Naomi surprised. Naomi grabbed a tattered newspaper that had been strewn nearby; she massaged it with her fingers.

As Naomi stepped outside and Katy came closer, she could see the vigorous smile on her face.

"Look Naomi," growled Katy, with a sweet glare that reminded Naomi of patient tortoises. "It's not that I don't love you, but I want a kiss. You owe me 2390 euros."

Naomi looked back, even more surprised and still fingering the tattered newspaper. "Katy, what's up Doc," she replied.

They looked at each other with lonely feelings, like two giant, glamorous goldfish bouncing at a very witty snow storm, which had flute music playing in the background and two brave uncles running to the beat.

Naomi regarded Katy's grubby feet and pretty thighs. "I don't have the funds ..." she lied.

Katy glared. "Do you want me to shove that tattered newspaper where the sun don't shine?"

Naomi promptly remembered her stable and spiteful values. "Actually, I do have the funds," she admitted. She reached into her pockets. "Here's what I owe you."

Katy looked cross, her wallet blushing like a hot, hissing hawk.

Then Katy came inside for a nice glass of brandy.
